Dr. Erlidia L. Clark performs her patriotic duty of casting her vote for the 13 May 2013 Philippine national elections.

The Philippine Embassy welcomed on Friday, 26 April 2013 Dr. Erlidia Llamas Clark, the first Filipino re-enfranchised voter, who came to the Chancery to exercise her right to suffrage for the 13 May 2013 Senatorial and Party-List elections. 

Dr. Clark, an obstetrician-gynecologist of the Philippine General Hospital, is currently doing her doctorate studies in public health at the Australian National University. 

Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Resolution No. 9653 promulgated on 5 March 2013 allows registered Filipino overseas voters who failed to vote in the 2007 and 2010 national elections to participate in the upcoming. 

This Resolution extends the period of filing of the manifestation of intent to vote until 13 May 2013, the last day of voting for overseas Filipinos.  According to the Resolution, concerned voters who wish to vote are required to present themselves at the Post where they are registered to personally cast their vote.
